Hello!
It's lovely to virtually meet you.

My name is Dr. Bari Hartley. I’ve been a chiropractor since 2006. I see chiropractic as one of many modalities that can help people feel more at home in their bodies, as chiropractic aims to restore joint motion, tissue health, and ultimately bring ease to the nervous system. Since our nervous system shapes our perception of our inner world and the world around us, guides our responses, and coordinates bodily functions based on what it perceives, Chiropractic can help us live from a gentler flowing state.

My treatments blend compassionate listening, soft tissue unwinding, chiropractic adjustments, and cranial releases to help you remember ease as a way of being. The feel of each session offers equal parts grounded presence, a bit of something mysterious, and a bit of laughter (when appropriate).

I love working with people of all ages, in states of transition, and in processes of growth. A large focus of my practice is in the care of people becoming parents, and the welcoming of new humans Earthside.

Wherever you’re at, I’m happy to meet you there with curiosity and gratitude each time.

Chiropractic

We experience life through our nervous systems. They are responsible for our perception of, and reaction to, the world around and within us. Chiropractic is aimed at optimizing nervous system function by restoring and maintaining motion in the spine. The care I provide also addresses the motion of the extraspinal joints (limbs, and cranium), and the health of the surrounding soft tissues (including muscles, fascia, and ligaments).

I use specific, gentle, hands-on adjustments in session, but also utilize Activator-style adjusting when it is most appropriate for the body's state of being.

Prenatal Chiropractic

I honor pregnancy as a time of great transformation, awareness, introspection, and growth. Providing thoughtful care to pregnant women physically, emotionally, and energetically supports this powerful process of bringing new life Earthside.

Prenatal chiropractic restores optimal motion to the spine, pelvis, and supporting soft tissues. This can relieve discomforts associated with pregnancy and encourages neutral suspension of uterus in the pelvis. This balance provides more room for baby's optimal growth, movement, and birth positioning. (I am certified in the Webster Technique for optimizing pelvis position during pregnancy!)

Pediatric Chiropractic

The process of getting here and growing up can be challenging at times! Why wait until you're older to address something that could have been gently unwound as a young person? Supporting babies' and kids' natural, healthy, development with age-appropriate chiropractic care can allow greater ease of being and reduce common symptoms of tension.

Adjustments for babies are incredibly gentle- about the pressure you'd use for checking the ripeness of a tomato- and yet are powerful enough to restore balance to a nervous system affected by intrauterine constraint, birth trauma, and other challenges that accompany development.
If you've seen me for care during pregnancy, baby's first visit with me is free as a welcome-to-the-world gift!
